Privacy Policy
InTone is a vocal practice app. This policy explains what data the app handles, why it is used, and how you can control it.
Summary
InTone does not include advertising, ad tracking, or third-party analytics. Most practice data stays on your device. If usage analytics sharing is enabled, InTone sends first-party product interaction events with an app-generated anonymous ID for analytics and app improvement.
Data handled by the app
Apple Sign In: If you sign in with Apple, the app stores your Apple user identifier on your device. If Apple provides your name or email address during sign-in, the app may store those values locally so your account status can be shown in the app. This Apple account record is not included in InTone's iCloud backup payload.
Microphone and recordings: If you use recording features, the app requests microphone permission. Your practice recordings are saved locally on your device and are used for playback, self-review, pitch review, and progress tracking. Recordings are not uploaded by the core app. If you enable iCloud backup, recording files may be copied to your own iCloud container.
Practice records: The app stores practice sessions, exercise settings, clip annotations, reflections, practice plans, teacher-style submissions and feedback, imported score data, and related metadata locally in the app. If you enable iCloud backup, these records may be copied to your own iCloud container.
iCloud backup: iCloud backup is optional. When enabled, InTone writes a backup manifest and recording files to the iCloud container associated with your Apple account. Apple provides and processes iCloud services under Apple's terms and privacy policy. The developer does not access your private iCloud backup data.
Subscriptions and purchases: Paid access is handled through Apple's StoreKit and App Store subscriptions. Apple processes payment information. InTone reads subscription entitlement status and stores local trial/subscription state, but the developer does not receive your payment card details.
Usage analytics: If analytics sharing is enabled, InTone sends first-party product interaction events, an app-generated anonymous ID, app session ID, app version, locale, screen/source labels, and limited event properties to the developer's analytics endpoint. Analytics do not include audio recordings and are not used for advertising or tracking across apps.
Customer support: If you email support, the developer receives your email address, your message, and any information you choose to include. The app's support email draft may include app version, build number, device model, and OS version to help diagnose issues. If the Mail app is unavailable, InTone may copy the support email address to the system pasteboard; it does not read your pasteboard.
How data is used
Data is used to provide app functionality: vocal warm-up playback, custom score creation, recording playback, pitch review, progress reports, iCloud restore, account display, purchase access, support, and first-party usage analytics when enabled. InTone does not use your data for third-party advertising or tracking.
Retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app where available, reset the relevant feature, delete local account data, or delete the app. iCloud backup data remains in your iCloud account until you remove it from iCloud, delete the app's iCloud documents, or use the app's delete local data and iCloud backup action. You can sign out of Apple Sign In inside the app to remove the locally stored Apple account record. Analytics events may be kept by the developer as aggregated product analytics.
Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain support history.
Your choices
You can turn usage analytics sharing off in the app under Me > Support. Turning it off clears pending analytics on that device and stops new analytics uploads. You can turn microphone and iCloud access off in iOS Settings. Recording and backup features may be unavailable when those permissions are off.

App
